I started this blog 2 years ago when we moved into a new home- thinking, new home, new blog! Actually, that was the name of my first(and only) post. Which I just deleted from here to give myself a fresh new start with A Savy Life! How weird would it be seeing this post then one from years ago of me with my red hair (still miss my fire ombré) talking about our new home? Confusing.
SO without further a dew, I'd like to introduce myself formally here. I know a lot of you will probably only know me as B_Savy from Instagram!
My name is Brittany. I live in Southern California (San Diego) & have my entire life. I currently reside in Valley Center, which is rural community located in North County/Inland, where I grew up, moved away from, then came back to raise my own children here. It's the kind of place where everyone knows each other, a small close-knit community of country folk. In fact, I'm still in contact with most of the girls I started brownies with at 5yrs old- a few of us even have kids in school together! I love it.
After school I dabbled in college, never knowing exactly what I wanted to do in life, but always being passionate about being a mother. So, I got married & started a family. Since then,I've sort of found my own callings in life. Just kinda creating my own path with the gifts god has given me. I taught myself how to crochet when I was pregnant with Ry so that I could make her blankets & such, as my great grandmother did for me. Long version short, it just kinda snowballed into my business, www.crochetsavy.etsy.com & then my photography.
I couldn't be more grateful for Instagram. As weird as that mighty sound. It has helped me spread the word of my passions, connect me with some amazing people, elevate my business, & SO much more! Which is why I decided to pick back up with the blog. Here I will share all things Savy! Inspiration, work, collaborations, fashion, photography, even some amazing recipes! Just everything. Please keep in mind, I am NO journalist major! I may misspell things or overuse a comma. I also never went to FIDM, so if I do an outfit post wearing white past Labor Day, I hope you understand. This is ME :)
